Signs of spring are a perfect distraction to get out of my head, to briefly abandon deadlines, to gear up for the next chapter that weather brings. I pulled over while driving past Lake Michigan to watch the birds migrating back in droves, a delightful sight for me, catching some wonderful films from , meeting old friends and making new, the glowing magnolias in the dark foretelling the arrival of a good rain, a good spring and perhaps a good summer. I ain’t rushing spring. Rebirth, renewal, new beginnings how ever you define it takes time.

Another opportunity to watch the film, with ma, at the gorge is on Friday April 21st. At the closing reception of The Land Reflections art exhibition the film will screen at Reichel Lecture Hall at 6pm. . see you there!
