Her designs are inspired by the gardens surrounding their home in St. Her pieces are painted in acrylic, enamels, outdoor paints, oils and watercolors, and she complements each piece with different embellishment mediums to enhance the overall effect. All pieces are original designs, painted, sealed, or fired and cured at Cora Gardens. Debe is a One Stroke Certified Instructor in the Donna Dewberry One Stroke Painting Method. She has taught painting classes at Michael’s Craft Stores in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is currently teaching in her studio at her St. Debe has also painted with Ros Stallcup, (Grans Gardens) ,who is an incredible decorative artist and beloved Mentor as well as her other Painting Mentors, Jeannie Schultz, Rochelle Pritzel, Jane drynan, Barb Smith, Char Stemple,Barb McClain, and her beloved Friend Bev! Debe is a member of the Society of Deorative Painters - Turp Chapter in Milwaukee, WI. Debe’s awards include Blue Ribbons won at the 2005 - 2024 and most recently, 2021 Wisconsin State Fairs. Debe also paints wall murals and consignment pieces. She is currently taking classes in Watercolor, Oil, and Acrylic Painting in order to expand her painting repertoire and enhance her painting talents. She believes in the need to continuously challenge herself to learn and improve her painting skills in order to grow as an artist. This spirit is reflected in her art.
