Auction of vintage Milwaukee items slated for former Landmark 1850 The late Joseph Halser III was an inveterate collector of vintage memorabilia of many kinds. And he put a lot of it into his Landmark 1850 tavern, 5905 S. Howell Ave., which dates to 1850 and which Halser bought in 1983.

We have sad news to share, the owner of The Landmark 1850 Inn has passed away. We are grateful for the outpouring support from our friends and customers during this very difficult time. We are working hard to deal with the legal aspects and want to keep our loyal patrons informed. We do plan on opening in the near future but need some time to make this happen.
