RIP musical innovators Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. 🥲🎶

The big blue monitor speakers at Studio Z were originally owned by The Beach Boys!

They are top of the line JBL 4341 studio monitors and they used them for keyboard speakers! In these photos from State Fair 1982 they can be seen stacked behind Carl Wilson next to the timpani and on the far right stacked behind the grand piano.

Behind the studio soffit wall the cabinets are still painted white and I still have the white grille cloths! These speakers are extremely clear and impressive sounding! They have been recently refurbished again.
