Here’s some cool insight on how we made the Liberty eagle lens.

there is a very interesting piece of architecture off of Oakland, which is actually a historic art deco building. On the front is a beautiful stone motive of an eagle clutching lightning bolts.

I actually re-drew the eagle in two dimensions and added shading/simplified it to my own design.

Using the shading, I created a depth map in three dimensions for modeling, and cleaned up the model and adjusted it to get the final outcome!!

A customer approached me recently needing a redesign of an existing casting for an automotive bracket. Customer did not have original patterns or CAD but supplied a part for measurement.

The original bracket was remeasured from scan data and changes were made per customer specification.

Then a prototype pattern was made for casting a loose part in sand so the customer could check the part in the desired alloy before making final patterns.. extra .100 added on surfaces for spot facing.
