Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition was proud to participate in the Ascension Cancer Survivorship Educational Health Fair today. It was a great opportunity to connect with survivors, family members and providers throughout the state to educate them on what's happening now that Gail’s Law has been signed into law and discuss our upcoming events.

Also, always great to network with our friends from ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis in-between questions and breakout sessions.

Since 2019 I've had the honor and privilege to be surrounded by like minded people who travel from across the country to attend The National Breast Cancer Coalition Leadership Summit and this past week I felt empowered and energized with a sense of purpose. As a newly elected board member and delegate of WI, I'm grateful for the doors that have been opened and mentorship that I've received along the way so I'll continue to use my voice to end breast cancer in memory of my mother and countless women and men who have succumbed to their battle with breast cancer and those who stand beside me sharing their stories as survivors. 🩷

When we all work together so much can be accomplished and knowledge is power. This year we were fortunate to have scientist, Dennis Slamon, who developed Herceptin as one of the arm chair discussions with NBCC President Fran Visco. As well as a host of other scientists and presenters at the top of their field of study educate us on what's happening in real time. Culminating with our Lobby Day on Capitol Hill to advocate for continued research funding and bipartisan support for the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act.

Advocacy in action is more powerful than ever right now and I encourage you to use your voice too.

About last night...

A Night Out for ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis was one for the record books. From the throwback songs of the 80s decade to the wonderful food stations provided by Bartolotta's restaurant we had a time last night!!

I'm so honored to be in partnership with this wonderful organization through my podcast Thepinktabletalk. Each year the ABCD staff and board of directors continue to raise the bar with creative FUNraising ideas and philanthropic support from the community with their peer to peer mentoring services. Here's a glimpse into some of the fun..💜
