Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases, impacting 25 million people in the U.S. This year’s World Asthma Day theme is Closing the Gaps in Asthma Care and is a call to identify and close those gaps. The burden of asthma in the U.S. falls disproportionately on Black, Hispanic and American Indian/Alaska Native people.
