Twice a year in Bay View, nearly every business becomes a gallery. On Friday, May 29, 72 restaurants, bars and stores will adorn their walls with local art for the spring edition of Bay View Gallery Night. The 15-year-old event gives artists a casual setting to showcase their work and makes art approachable.

“We’re planting seeds and trying to get people to be excited about the art scene,” says Jeff Redmon, co-organizer and co-owner of Scout Gallery.

A whole 3 years into the archive....It's lots of fun to review old art, especially the ones that aren't terrible.

I forgot about this fella...I used to take part in a recurring show series called Culture Jam which served as a great opportunity to explore different formats and ideas. I've always enjoyed sculpture when I do it but already have a lack of space that doesn't lend itself well to 3D art. I'll have to work on that...

Brand new from over the weekend...

Painted this canvas red some evening last week with a lot of water mixed in leading to some great variations in transparency...Let it sit for a while unsure of what to do until I saw the inklings of a horse and watchman in the shapes late Saturday...spent most of sunday working it out.
