MEET THE ADMINS- STEPH!

Hello! My name is Steph Siegman and I am a fluid interdisciplinary artist, musician and organizer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With a BFA in fine arts and minor in Illustration from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design 2019 and a Masters of Fine Art with an emphasis in painting and drawing from UW-Milwaukee (2022), I have a passion for collaboration and community building. During the pandemic, I co-founded the MIDCOAST collective, a grassroots artist-run organization that collectivizes resources for organizers, organizations, artists, and working- class people in Milwaukee through benefit events and art projects. As part of this collective, I spearheaded a collectivist record label called MIDCOAST RECORDS, releasing music under the moniker Wax Cherubs alongside other members. My art and music explores themes of identity, gender, sampling and speculative futures.

This year I am excited to push the MIDCOAST Records project, creating and influencing revolutionary culture in Milwaukee, and collectivizing resources for the community!
