Quick follow up to a post a few weeks ago that I made on Facebook. Apologies if this is the first you’re hearing about it. I was rear ended a little over two weeks ago (I wasn’t hurt at all, thankfully.) and we thought that my car had minor damage. Yesterday I got the call that there was some buckling to the rear frame, etc., and today I was officially notified that my 2011 Kia Soul, Chi-Chi, is a total loss. Sure I’ve had some used cars before her, though Chi-Chi was my first brand new car that I wanted since when Kia first released the Soul, and bought myself, after starting my job at ARCW. Today, Steve and I went to the auto body, gathered up all my belongings, and bid her farewell. I truly did love this car. We’ve been through a lot together, A LOT!, and enjoyed many adventures. All the shots I took on my travels with Chi-Chi, pretty much became the start of my photography business. We saw a lot together. *sigh* Special thanks to Steve for the help and bringing me emotional support cookies. There will never be another Chi-Chi. Though, there is a blessing in here somewhere, and it’s time to look ahead now. Hopefully this weekend, I will be purchasing a Kia Seltos. Stay tuned. 💕

While I was on a much needed vacation, June 29 was National Camera Day, which meant I was traveling the state with my partner, Steve, and taking plenty of new photos.
