Cousins Lounge

Pat would often say to me “You know hun, Just another day, just another day.”
But yesterday was not just another day for many of us. Yesterday we lost our Pat.
Patrick, Patty, Keener. No matter what name you called him by, to know him was to love him.

Pat was a part of my family before I even was. They loved, cared for and jagged him like a brother. He was never treated different for he was one of them.
Pat has been at every important event in my family’s lives. He has celebrated births, weddings and new adventures with us. So excited to talk to each one of our very large family about the big things going on with them.
Pat has also cried with us with each loss we suffered. At my Dad’s funeral as he stood watch at the casket for a time, he told one of my Aunt’s “Kevin was one of my best friends, Now Katie is”.
Pat had many, many, many best friends but I feel honored to be included in his list. Wherever I might fall on it.
The almost 6 years since my Dad has passed Pat and I spent a lot of time together.
I’d see him everyday. I’d hear the greetings he gave to every person he saw in the many businesses he loved and frequented in town.

Pat always had a stool at Cousins. He would spend hours with us talking, laughing, helping me do odds and end jobs. Enjoying his gingy, Diet Pepsi (with a lil ice, hun) and whatever food I had cooking up that day. Pat loved to eat and try new foods and drinks. We ate meals a lot together. All his Millvale favorites.

What I hope Pat knew was that he was actually Millvale’s favorite. We will all miss his laugh, wave, greetings & gossip (who needs a green sheet!) I hope he knew how much joy he brought to our family and a whole community.
He will be missed forever. ❤️
