so notorious for denying claims and delaying payment. Accepting insurance would require us to divert our focus away from clinical care and onto these administrative matters. Philosophically, we feel strongly that medical care is a process between patient and provider and that third parties should not intrude on this relationship. Increasingly, health plans have not only reimbursed care but have tried to oversee and direct care. For instance, the federal HIPAA statute gives government officials access to all of a physician's patient records if a physician submits electronic claims. This is unacceptable to us, and we are sure it is unacceptable to many of our patients. We will, however, be happy to provide patients with itemized bills, which they may submit themselves to their health plans for reimbursement according to their policy provisions. PAYMENT

She began volunteering for events in the Lion’s Club, Prevent Blindness, Crisis Intervention Centers, and nursing homes in her early teens. Beginning her Bachelorette work at the University of Texas in El Paso, Tiffany had hopes of having a dual degree in Psychology and music to integrate the two into a Music Therapy degree due to her many years of experience in piano and flute. This led her to the University of North Texas where she changed majors to Psychology and Spanish, as growing up in a predominantly Hispanic culture led her to be bilingual. The growing need for counselors in the Rehabilitation field led Tiffany to the Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work, and Addictions where she completed her Master’s of Science and first learned and fell in love with EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback). Tiffany began her studies in Neurofeedback at the University of North Texas’ Neurotherapy Lab. Recognized for her skills, she became Clinical Coordinator and assisted in the training, teaching, and mentoring of Neurofeedback students. As a result of her exposure to the research and training at UNT, Tiffany’s understanding of the need for total life coaching combined with Neurofeedback was reinforced. Consequently, she integrates Neurofeedback with counseling, self-regulation, family lifestyles, diet, exercise, sleep, allergies, parenting, and multi-modal interventions to obtain the greatest treatment result. In addition to her work at Acuity Brain Center, Tiffany conducts QEEG assessments, Neurofeedback, and Bio-Acoustical Utilization Device (BAUD) training at The Lawlis Peavey PsychoNeuroPlasticity (PNP) Center. Dedicated to her commitment to fulfill her vision of an integrated, mind-body approach to patient counseling, Tiffany founded the Applied Brain-Body Solutions Clinic. Additionally, having secured a position as a leader in the field, Tiffany serves as a consultant for numerous facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She has served on the Board for the Biofeedback Society of Texas and has been a long-standing member of the International Society of Neurofeedback and Research, as well as the Association of Applied Psychophysiologial Biofeedback. I have had the privilege of observing and participating with Sam Bell in the care of a client in a skilled nursing facility. I was impressed with Sam’s application of theory to practice; his positive and supportive relationship with the client and the family and with his personalized follow-up after he was no longer involved directly with treatment. One example is the continuum of care he gave Don, a 90 year-old man, recovering from aspiration pneumonia as a result of Parkinsonism making him nutritionally dependent of a surgically inserted gastric tube (PEG). He was discourage and apprehensive. Sam, with his friendly interpersonal and professional skills supported Don through the adjustment, strengthened his swallowing muscles and revived old habits of breathing and eating to a stage where Don became able to participate win “recreational eating” with confidence. Sam instructed the family by demonstration and supervision of the feeding and thereafter kept in touch from time to time with continuing encouragement. Sam is a talented and caring person. This is Pat's daughter, Mary I'm thinking you may have heard from the staff at Redwood Community, but I wanted to let you know that our mom, the beautiful Patricia Rose, came home on Thurs. Feb. 25, and passed away at home Mon. March 1, very peacefully and fearlessly, with my brother Timothy and my dad holding her hands. It's huge to all of us, but her passing has also been filled with incredible amounts of grace, on many levels. I wanted to thank you on behalf of my whole family, and also just for myself, for the incredible kindness, compassion and support you extended to my mom and to us all; I really can't tell you how healing your help has been, and how appreciated. Of course, I also think you were a lucky man to get to meet and interact with my grace-filled mother, but then, I'm biased :-) For now, my dad is remaining in Fortuna, taking things slowly, which is good. Hey Sam Bell! It's Patty . I came across one of your old cards and was wondering how you are. I am working for the public schools (!) but have a specialized SELPA position working with kids with autism (guess I'm doing what you started out doing!) I just wanted to thank you for seeing something good in me and giving me a chance fresh out of my CFY. I learned so much from you and working for Bell Speech Pathology, about being an SLP and about myself. I even learned things I didn't realize I knew until much later. For example, when I started working with the autism kids, everyone was talking about discrete trial and ABA. I had no idea what they were talking about until I watch a session. Bing! A light went on--I know this, Sam taught this to me. Thanks, Sam. I will always be grateful for you. You were a great boss! I think because you understood a lot about people and you knew how to provide the right environment for each of us to flourish--each of us a little differently.
