How do I know if I want traditional highlights that are bright all the way up to the roots or highlights that have a darker root shadow?
🌞 The biggest difference between the two is that highlights going right up to the root will have a harsher line of demarcation and so will need to be refreshed every 8-12 weeks, they achieve maximum blonde and brightness and are good for people wanting to be super blonde.
😎 A teasylight or rooty highlight will have a softer grow out and can go longer between appointments but will also appear darker toward the scalp and can feel less bright around the face. Depending on how much blonde you want to see and how often you want to come into the salon will help you decide which look is right for you.

I have to admit... I didn't know I wanted to do hair from a very young age like many stylists do. In fact it wasn't until I was 20 when I realized this was the industry for me, but I did know from a young age that I wanted to help people and I wanted to create beauty.
And now 14 years later after starting in the world of hair, I find myself loving the way I get to help people and create beauty. Not just the beauty of that perfect shade of color and an amazing blowout on a fresh new cut, but the beauty of the smile when my guest loves their hair, or walks out of the salon a little more confident and refreshed. I love the beauty of knowing people for years and laughing and talking about the ups and downs of life while I get to take care of them while they finally get a minute to themselves to take a break. Creating an experience where someone feels seen and heard and valued is the kind of beauty I love to create, as well as lots of beautiful hair. 🥰

How do I know whether a warmer blonde or cooler blonde is right for me? 🤔
There are a few factors to consider when going blonde.
1. How dark is your natural hair color? Starting points affect the end result and overall look and you have to consider hair health when looking at how light you can go.
2. What is your complexion, warm, neutral, olive? You don't want a tone that will clash with your skin so it's always good to look at swatches with your stylist to help you decide on a tone that's right for you.
3. What kind of maintenance are you willing to commit to for upkeep? Deciding how often you want to be coming back to the salon can help determine the right color choice for your lifestyle and budget.
I love helping my guests switch things up with their hair, but I will also help advise them on the best choice for their hair health and that fits their lifestyle as well. That's why when changing things up or coming to me for the first time, I'll always give an in depth consultation that goes through questions like these to help you decide what works best for you and your hair. 👱🏼♀️
