🌱 Advancing Agriculture & Sustainability in Bufundi, Uganda 🌱

The ACT Agriculture Team has been busy! They selected 100 farmers in greater Bufundi Subcounty and held nutrition and iron-rich bean training sessions, along with seed distribution. Farmers learned about balanced diets, food security, and proper garden management, helping them achieve strong harvests. Participants were also introduced to our iron-rich seed bank and ACT’s long-term sustainability goals.

Meanwhile, the ACT US team met with experts from TechMark and Greenstone Farm Credit to explore business opportunities in the potato sector as part of ACT Uganda’s move toward social business initiatives. These discussions focused on storage systems, potential collaborations, and building sustainable operations that support both the community and staff.

With these partnerships and programs, ACT Uganda continues to empower local farmers, strengthen food security, and develop social businesses that create lasting impact.
