Case Systems Inc./BOSTONtec President Kelly Wehner, chair of the MHI Ergonomic Assist Systems and Equipment (EASE) Industry Group, makes this case in a recent MHI Solutions Magazine feature: wherever a human is still part of an automated process, ergonomic design must follow.

A fixed-height conveyor station, for example, might seem like a minor detail. But for workers of varying heights performing repetitive motions over long shifts, it's a real injury risk. The solution isn't more automation, it's smarter integration of ergonomics within automated environments.
