This is the first blog for our company Room for Change. We have been staging/designing in The Woodlands since 2010. Our names are Vicky and Wendy and we love to decorate and design spaces (and Vicky cooks on the side). We hope that you will enjoy our weekly tips and recipes. As we roll into cooler weather, we wanted to show some ways to bring fall into your home with natural elements. The best part about fall decorating is that it stays relevant through Thanksgiving until your ramp up for Christmas. These items can be easily placed throughout your house to create a sense of fall even when the thermometer says 95 degrees.

This has been a two year project that I have been working on. I hope you love the ending result. Please let me know if you have an comments!
This project was in stages over a number of months in the spring of this year. I met these DELIGHTFUL folks through my husband. We had two areas to work on in this beautiful home...the family room/eat in kitchen and their daughters room. They were looking to update their family room so I did a layout for them so they could see options in space planning. They then took several trips to find the right pieces and invited me to join when they were happy with their decision and wanted a final opinion. They have great taste so this was easy! Their daughter was moving from one room to another and wanted to keep her loft bed, but make it a fun place to hang out with friends and of course their cute dog. After they painted and the new furniture had been delivered, we planned a day for the makeover. They wanted in done in a day and wanted the reveal to be when they got home from work/school. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed working with this couple who wanted to update rooms using old /new pieces and trusted me to rearrange it for a fresh look!
