July 10th is Chronic Disease Awareness Day

Chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and asthma affect millions of individuals. Many of these conditions are preventable or manageable with the right support, education, and access to care.

Small steps can make a big difference:
🥗 Eating balanced, nutritious meals
🚶‍♀️ Staying physically active in ways that work for you
🩺 Scheduling regular check-ups and screenings
💊 Taking medications as prescribed
🧠 Managing stress and prioritizing mental health

Community Health Workers play a vital role in helping individuals navigate care, understand their conditions, and connect to resources that support healthier outcomes.

When we invest in prevention and education, we invest in stronger, healthier communities for everyone.

We are proud to have supported this effort. Each one, reach one.

5 million people. One powerful movement.

Today, Mental Health First Aid reached a historic milestone: 5 million people trained across the United States.

Since bringing MHFA to the U.S. in 2008, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing has worked alongside thousands of partners to equip people with the skills to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use challenges, offer support and connect someone to care.

This milestone represents more than a number. It represents stronger workplaces, schools and communities–and millions of people ready to help when it matters most.

Thank you to every Instructor, Coordinator, National Trainer, partner and First Aider who made this possible. Together, we're building a future where mental wellbeing is everyone's responsibility.
Five million strong, and we're just getting started. https://bit.ly/4f0Ztcz
