Team E2F went down to Vegas for the No-Gi WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP and did exactly what we worked for! Huge shoutouts to the new world champions and and special congrats to Cassia becoming the YOUNGEST IBJJF BLACKBELT WORLD CHAMPION IN HISTORY! These athletes put in 12-15+ hours a week on the Mats and still come to the gym with me and follow the 4 x week program. Cassia and Tasha have been with me for over a year now and both are dominating their weight classes with strength, speed, skill, and endurance. Top level BJJ performance requires more then just technique. You gotta put in the work for your body performance as well, but that doesn’t require special programs, excercises, or equipment …………it requires getting stronger, faster, and better using the basics. Squats, cleans, presses, and pulls. Plyometrics, speed, and power. Endurance, mobility, and recovery. These athletes and there outstanding results are a perfect example of that!

It’s true. Lots of new flashy stuff out there. Pseudo science workouts, filtered videos and images, and now I see a increase in people joining the “Jiu jitsu strength coach” space. Great! But you gotta watch out. Bjj is it’s own sport, with it’s own skill sets, energy systems, positions, and mindset. Someone would need a deep understanding of the sport before being able to tell what drills make you better. Majority of beginner competition issues are based in the in-ability to control your mind, emotions, and therefore sympathetic drive. In fact…….on average white belts are stronger the purple belts because they haven’t yet sacrificed all there athletic potential into a sport that spends 90% of the time lying on the ground 😳. We all need a balanced, progressive, and systematic approach to stay healthy and continue getting better, improve athleticism and reduce injury risk. Quit hu***ng sand bags, sh*****ng with sleds, and doing weird guard techniques with bands in the gym and wondering why your BJJ hasn’t got better. Your literally taking time and every AWAY from training to do things that don’t make you better. Squats, cleans, jumps, presses, sprints………..this is the way. Join a program that has over 20 years BJJ and strength & conditioning experience. A team that has proven itself on the biggest stages of BJJ time after time.
