Once completed, the trade amount is removed from the buying member and the selling member that provided services will receive the trade dollars into their account. That member can then use those trade dollars to sub-contract another investigator or member’s services or purchase products throughout the national membership. PIBarter.com was created for the investigative industry as there is a need for cross communication and participation between investigators nationwide. Many investigators do not wish to utilize other investigative agencies for several reasons:

- Risk of not receiving payment from the hiring investigative company and having to attempt to collect.

- Not wanting to pay the cash expenditure to the contracted investigative agency immediately since they have to then bill their client and may not see those expenses returned for several months while waiting to get paid by their client.

- Licensing requirements preventing investigators from working in non licensed states. The way that PIBarter.com works is this:

An investigative company becomes a member. That member pays a minimal cash fee, $10.00 and a minimal barter fee $10.00 per month for being a member. For that minimal fee, the investigative company is then listed on the barter portion of the website under the states that they are licensed in, (there are no extra fees for additional states), under the counties in each of their states and under the categories of services they provide. Each member, once listed on the barter site, will then automatically be listed in the front end of the website for the general public and cash paying clients to find. domestic clients, attorneys or anyone / any business that is searching for an investigator). Those potential clients will be able to contact the member directly and hire them for cash payment to hire them for any provided service. Any investigators that are members, can log into the barter member section of the website and there they will be able to view all of the other members accounts and statistical information. They can then call the investigators directly using the instructions that each member posts. Once contacted, they can the arrange details on a case by case basis along with a budget for billable hours which will be as agreed between each member. For general contract purposes, a printable agreement can be located and printed on PIBarter.com That contract once filled out can be faxed back and forth and signed to ensure both parties are agreeing on the same terms and expected results. Once agreed, the investigator that was hired, performs the investigation. Once completed, that investigator sends the report and work product to the hiring investigator. The investigator that conducted the work then logs onto the PIBarter.com, using the provided member number and password and then visits the authorization page. Once there, they enter their member number, the member number of the company that hired them, a file or reference number and the amount to be charged. Once the information is submitted, PI Barter Exchange, LLC immediately reviews the accounts transfers the trade dollars from one account to another and provides an email to both parties with that transaction and an authorization number. The authorization process is fully automated. PI Barter Exchange, LLC will then email each participating company and also send a copy of the entire transaction to PI Barter Exchange, LLC for record. The $ 10.00 barter fee charged to each member per month will be held by PI Barter Exchange, LLC and will be used for dispute resolutions and services pertaining to PI Barter Exchange, LLC. An example of a member starting, using and being billed at the end of the month is as follows:

John Smith of Smith Investigations signs up as a member of PI Barter Exchange, LLC. Mr. Smith is given, after signing the guarantor contracts, a credit line of -$ 500.00 so I can start to use the service. I then start at 0.00 but have $ 2,500.00 in credit. Smith then calls Jane Doe of ABC Investigations in California and contracts her to conduct an investigation worth $ 200.00. After Ms. Doe completes the transaction, she goes to the website, logs in, and goes to the authorization page. There Ms. Doe puts in her member number, Mr. Smth’s member number, Mr. Smith’s or her file number for reference, the amount of the charge and any notes she would like to include as part of record. Then she clicks the submit button. The system removes $ 200.00 (Trade Dollars) out of Mr. Smith’s account and puts it into Ms. Doe’s account. Ms. Doe’s Trade Dollar amount increases by $ 200.00 and Mr. Smith’s decreases by -$ 200.00. Smith then receives a call from Jim Johnson of ZZ Investigations in Texas and is contracted to perform an investigation worth $ 500.00, (Trade Dollars). Smith performs the investigation and visits the same authorization page. Smith then enters the transaction information and receives an authorization. Now the $ 500.00 (Trade Dollars) comes out of the ZZ Investigations account and is entered into Mr. Smith’s account. At the end of the month Mr. Smith’s invoice is received. PI Barter Exchange, LLC bills Mr. Smith the cash fee for the membership of $ 10.00 plus a 6% of both the buying and selling transactions. Sell Transaction of $ 500.00 + Buy Transaction of $ 200.00 = $ 700.00 is services transacted. Smith then as to pay, in cash to PI Barter Exchange, LLC 6% of those transactions. That makes the cash total owed for Mr. Smith $ 42.00. In addition, from the positive Trade Dollar balance of $ 300.00 Mr. Smith has in his Trade account, he pays PI Barter Exchange, LLC $ 10.00. That $ 10.00 in trade is deposited into the PI Barter Exchange, LLC Trade account for resolutions and barter business transactions. Smith’s trade account balance for the month then becomes + $ 290.00. Smith can then spend those Trade Dollars with other investigative companies as well as continue to earn additional trade dollars by receiving additional investigations to perform.
