To help navigate the busy holiday sensory shifts today, here are three quick tips:

Preview the Plan: Give a quick heads-up before changing locations or starting fireworks so transitions aren't a surprise.

Pack a Sensory Escape Hatch: Bring headphones, a favorite comfort item, or plan a quiet spot (like the car) where they can decompress if overwhelmed.

Offer a "Plan B" Option: Let them know it's completely okay to watch the fireworks from a distance or inside a window if the noise becomes too much.
