PHA Nepal organized an annual PHun Walk, PH Awareness and Blood Drive event at Tropical Park, Miami, Florida on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The fundraising event was organized to support the CHAMP project, heart, lungs and pulmonary hypertension health awareness and screening for underprivileged children of remote area of Nepal (Ilam). More than 60 participants were present on the occasion.

PHA Nepal oraganized a PHun Walk and Blood Drive event at Tropical Park on December 28th, 2024. The fundraising event was organized in support of CHAMP project, heart, lungs and pulmonary hypertension health screening for underprivileged children of remote area of Nepal (Tehrathum). More than 50 participants were present in on the occasion.

PHA Nepal is excited to announce that our dedicated volunteer, Dr. George Bush Jung Katwal, will be attending the PHA 2024 International PH Conference in Indianapolis, USA, from August 15-18, 2024. This is a valuable opportunity to showcase our commitment to combating pulmonary hypertension in Nepal.
The PHA 2024 International PH Conference is a prominent event that brings together global experts, healthcare professionals, and advocates focused on pulmonary hypertension. The conference will feature scientific sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to share the latest research, treatment advancements, and patient care strategies. These discussions aim to improve outcomes for individuals affected by pulmonary hypertension. PHA Nepal has been actively raising awareness and providing care for pulmonary hypertension. Notably, our recent health screening camp in Okhaldhunga is part of a broader initiative that has included over 25 camps across the country, directly benefiting more than 10,000 individuals. These camps have provided critical screenings and treatments to underserved communities, focusing on early detection and management of pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Katwal will share our work, learn from international experiences, and strengthen collaborations. These connections are crucial for improving the lives of those affected by pulmonary hypertension in Nepal, particularly in underserved areas. We believe this experience will significantly contribute to our organization’s growth and effectiveness, enabling us to make even greater strides in the fight against pulmonary hypertension.
