'Threshold' 🥰🌼 my beloved installation. A public ritual to manifest world peace.

In Threshhold, a large world map is revealed, and the dancer begins frantically placing white daisies in various places throughout the map. Eventually, the dancer turns to the audience and begins pleading "Help me!" passing flowers to the audience until a crowd of people were collectively placing "seeds" of peace around the world.

Once the crowd forms, the dancer stands out in front of them to complete the choreography, including standing in a Lady Liberty-esque pose and establishing a boundary line between the rest of the audience and those on the stage.

I adored this particular performance because I had the freedom to bring my record player and the little table & chair from my balcony. The music playing live is from the record player, I found the vintage record new while thrifting many years ago, and I've choreographed some of my favorite danceworks using tracks from it.

During the performance, Carlota came up to me and told me I had to end the dance because it was going on for too long, but the dance was already over; however the audience was still fully invested in planting flowers of peace around the world 🥰 I was sitting in my balcony chair enjoying the vibes LOL so I stood up, curtseyed, and boom clap clap dance over. Great memory. Love you all.
