Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.
This is something I struggle with all the time. Between the 👩🏽‍🦱🧑🏼‍🦱, 👱🏼‍♂️, 👵🏽, 🐶 🐶, 🏡, 💒 and life in general I tend to put my needs on the back burner.

Last weeks shooting put so many things into perspective.
It took me having an anxiety attack to take the decision of looking for help and signing up for reiki, meditation and yoga.
*Side note: Turning off the sound on my personal phone during class was one of the hardest things…

little by little
i'm learning to love myself.

and it might be slow,

but i’m certain in letting go of
all the things that tell me i shouldn't.
