📍 Louisville, Kentucky — November 4, 2025
A tragic incident unfolded today near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport when a cargo aircraft operated by UPS Airlines crashed shortly after take-off.

The key details:
• The aircraft departed from Louisville and was bound for Honolulu.
• It went down around 5:15 p.m. local time, after reaching only about 175 feet in altitude and then rapidly descending.
• At least 3 people are confirmed dead, and 11 others are injured — officials expect those numbers may rise.
• The aircraft reportedly carried around 38,000 gallons of fuel, which contributed to the massive fireball and heavy smoke seen from the crash site.
• The crash impacted nearby buildings in the industrial area, including a recycling facility and an auto parts business; rescue operations and building searches are ongoing.
• A shelter-in-place order was issued for nearby residents, and the airport has halted operations pending investigation.
• The national safety authorities — National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) — have launched a full investigation.

What we’re left with:
A community in shock, urgent rescue efforts underway, and many questions still unanswered. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the crew, the injured, first responders, and everyone affected.

🙏 Let’s hold our loved ones, and appreciate the service of those who keep our skies and supply-chains moving. If you’re nearby, please heed official safety instructions and avoid the area.
