With a Pepwave router it can. πŸ“‘

When something isn't performing on event day, the last thing you want is to be waiting on venue IT or tracking down someone with the right access.

With the right router setup, our support team can access it remotely as long as it's online β€” meaning issues can be diagnosed and addressed without disrupting what's happening on the floor. 🌐

It also has built in backup flexibility.

When connected to a venue hardline the router prioritizes that connection β€” it's the most stable option when properly configured. But if the hardline drops or isn't available, cellular connectivity is there as a fallback, keeping your registration setup running. πŸ”

Setup takes about a minute. The connection is live within 5 to 10 minutes. ⚑

When something goes wrong with your event tech on site, who is actually responsible for fixing it β€” your team, the vendor, or the venue?

One router is the difference between a registration setup you control and one you don't.

⚠️ Many event planners connect their equipment to whatever network the venue provides. It works... until it doesn't. And when it doesn't, there's no lever to pull because the infrastructure belongs to someone else.

A dedicated event router changes that. It creates a private closed network specifically for your registration equipment β€” tablets connect to it wirelessly, badge printers connect via wired ethernet, and none of it touches the venue's shared infrastructure.

For larger events running multiple printers across several registration stations, a network switch extends that setup further. It provides you with enough wired ports to keep every printer running simultaneously during peak check-in.

This diagram maps out exactly how those components connect.

It's less complicated than it sounds. But it does need to be decided before event day, not during load-in.

Is network setup something your team plans in advance, or is it still being figured out on-site?

Drop your answer below β€” genuinely curious where most teams land on this. πŸ‘‡
