The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth is committed to providing support for our community's young LGBTQ members. Part of feeling supported involves knowing the history of the community with which youth identify. 100% of ChangeMakers participants reported that they increased their knowledge of LGBTQ history through our program.

ChangeMakers is a free, youth-led Summer Leadership Institute of The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth.
Here at The Alliance, we work to shift the dangerous paradigms of discrimination, harassment, and violence in our communities while empowering LGBTQ+ youth. Our ChangeMakers goals mirror the goals of The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth: to support young people in developing their self-agency; to impact systems youth navigate by providing inclusive information about their experience and their distinctive needs; and to cultivate youth leadership.
The ChangeMakers curriculum not only addresses and combats systems of oppression through interactive and engaging workshops throughout the community, but also seeks to develop interpersonal and community building skills to empower youth and increase resilience.
