This is the last week of the Summer of Make.

Week 3 is the final week of camp. After Friday, we close the summer and Art Cortex will not be back at Superblue until next year.

There are still spots open. Five days of murals and photography, live instruments and DJ lab, taught by working instructors inside one of Miami's most immersive art spaces. Your child comes home with real projects, real skills, and the kind of confidence that only comes from making something and standing behind it.

We have watched it happen for ten summers.

What's inside a camper's mind.

Football clubs and instant noodles. A favorite character. A ticket stub. Everything that matters to her, all at once, pouring out the top of her head.

This week our campers built self-portrait collages, and the assignment was not to show what they look like. It was to show what they think about. They cut, sorted, and layered until the page said something true about them, which is harder than it sounds and takes real decision-making to pull off.

Every single one came out different. That is the whole point of what we do. Kids arrive with their own interests and obsessions, and we hand them the tools to turn all of it into something they made themselves.
