We are hiring full time ......The scope of work includes providing construction inspection services for small diameter (less than 24-inch diameter) pipeline projects related to water and sanitary sewer systems as well as non-regional sanitary sewer pumping stations to ensure quality control standards.
Minimum Requirement(s) and Qualification(s) Required:
Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License by hire date.
High School diploma or GED.
Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to five (5) years full-time employment in paraprofessional engineering or the construction trades involving responsibility for the installation and repair of small or large diameter water and sewer pipelines and small or large sanitary sewer pumping stations, materials testing, land surveying, designing, or underground electronic location of water and sewer utilities and/or review of water and sewer projects are required.
Completion of coursework in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field may substitute for required experience on a month-for-month basis to a maximum of one (1) year.
Must be able to read, understand and interpret engineering/construction plans, drawings and technical specifications pertinent to water/sewer pipelines (small diameter) and sewage pump stations.
Must be familiar with current WASD Standards and have the ability to apply building code/other applicable testing standards and protocol (AWWA, etc.).
Must be able to communicate in clear and concise manner and shall be experienced in the use of personal computers.
Must be able to read, understand and interpret project construction schedules (both computerized and conventional) and shall be familiar with the Critical Path Method as well as scheduling programs such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
Must be familiar with safe work site protocol and standards (OSHA).
Additional requirements include an understanding of backfill type and compaction standards, paving subgrade standards, trench specifications, types and quality of materials generally used in civil engineering and water and sewer works projects; tolerances, finishes, and other indicators of quality workmanship and materials, general terminology and mechanical drawing symbology utilized in civil engineering, testing and sampling procedures for construction materials and potable water; production of daily construction field inspection reports, punch-list processing and final inspection.
Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 /hour

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN POSITION

Job Description
EGSC Engineering Consultants is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a Civil Engineering Intern for our Miami, FL office with the possibility of future paid part time work.
This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a degree in Civil, Transportation or Environmental Engineering within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in civil and utility design, project management and roadway design under direct supervision of civil engineering professionals.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Perform basic design tasks and drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of conceptual engineering projects
• Perform standard computations and analysis and research assignments
• Support preparation of final design plans and special provisions
• Collect data and gather information or documents
• Perform field inspections
Job Requirements
• Current standing as a student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering (or related) Undergraduate or Graduate Program.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with one or more CADD platforms
