The Goldstein’s, local heroes.

Developers bought big chunk of Little Haiti. The result so far is a ‘happy’ surprise In Miami’s imperiled Little Haiti, the developers who stunned the neighborhood at the end of 2022 by snapping up a bundle of main-street commercial properties are trying something different and unexpected.

the meme generation, this is what success looks like

thanks for the valuable contribution & tremendous accomplishment 🏆

credit for their amazing investigative journalism

“under contract”
no surprise, forgot to mention the venue construction & patio expansion being done with no approved plans, no permits, no change of use, no impact fees, no code compliance, & lawsuits with Goldstein & Chemtov

& want their 💰💰💰for construction & expansion

and somewhere in the middle, Dave Daniels still hasn’t got his 💰💰💰

just more of the same...

if you’re still waiting for some opening, you’re waiting for an immediate close

stealing a vision comes with hard costs & it’s PAY TO PLAY in the Magic City 🪄

We would like to apologize to everyone for what Churchills has endured the past 2 years. Most importantly, we would like to apologize to our staff & their families for being directly impacted. As small business owners, we fought like hell to provide job security & the promise of continued growth in the community. We know you believed in our vision & we thank you for the years of commitment and support in leading a landmark venue. We always put our people first, & never lost sight of the importance Churchills had in our city and beyond.

We understand the impact Churchills closing has had on the guests, the music community, the arts, & Little Haiti as a whole. It has been constantly dismissed & overlooked by the media & we know the pain & frustration it has caused. WE’RE SORRY.

We thank everyone for their support during a very difficult time & for sharing a belief that independent venues should not be taken for granted. As Miami continues to change, more businesses will be faced with the same difficulties that we have, but hopefully we can inspire small business owners to share their stories when faced with adversity. We spent years building additional venues & stages to support Churchills, not to have it taken away. Churchills should have remained open and operating to this day.

If you follow instagram, they won’t share this update. It doesn’t fit the false narrative they worked so hard to create & divide. But like everything, there’s our story, their story, & then there’s the truth. Unfortunately this truth was avoidable, and has come at the expense of everyone.
