Students from Kendale Lakes Elementary School had a wonderful time exploring Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with nature, observe diverse plant life, and experience learning beyond the classroom walls. Throughout the day, they engaged with the beautiful surroundings, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great curiosity about the natural world.

Experiences like this help students build lasting connections to science, art, and the environment while creating memorable moments together.

The 40th Annual Impressions in Watercolor Exhibition has been an incredible success. This milestone year brought together a stunning collection of work that celebrates the depth, versatility, and beauty of watercolor. It has been inspiring to see so many artists, families, students, and community members come out to support the exhibition and engage thoughtfully with the artwork on display.

A special thank you to the Miami Watercolor Society, Art South Miami, and the Village of Palmetto Bay Perrine Community House for their partnership and for making this wonderful exhibition possible. Their continued support helps create meaningful opportunities for artists and the community to connect through the arts.

Check out the photos to see some of the amazing moments and the wonderful viewers who made this exhibition shine.

During their support visit, students at Carver Elementary explored the expressive world of Jean-Michel Basquiat through bold, layered artworks. They experimented with symbolic imagery, strong line work, and vibrant color combinations to tell visual stories. The lesson encouraged students to think about identity, emotion, and personal voice in their creations. It was inspiring to see how each student interpreted Basquiat’s style in their own unique way.
