Historic Hampton House

e all colors of people congregated to hear the best performers of the day. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali were frequent guests and the Miami chapter of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) had its weekly meetings there. Few places in Miami can boast of such a legacy. As the President of the Historic Hampton House Community Trust, I am asking for your help in achieving our dream of bringing back the Hampton House for future generations. We not only have dreams, we also have plans, thanks to the General Obligation Bond allocations designated by the people of Miami Dade County, which has given us a good start. We are planning a museum and archive dedicated to vintage jazz, a studio and a school for talented young musicians, and a stage for performances, in addition to first-class restaurant and banquet facilities.
