When every second counts, teamwork saves lives.

A U.S. Coast Guard Station Miami Beach boat crew rescued four mariners from a vessel taking on water, 7 miles south of Key Biscayne, Friday.

The four mariners were transferred to Black Point Marina, with no injuries reported.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Miami command center watchstanders received a distress call on Channel 16 from a vessel taking on water. Crews from Station Miami Beach, MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, Biscayne National Park, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded.

This rescue highlights the importance of rapid response and seamless coordination among the Coast Guard and our local, state, and federal partners, who work together every day to protect mariners and save lives.

A U.S. Coast Guard Station Marathon boat crew responded to a vessel taking on water with four people aboard, Tuesday, near Key Colony Beach.

One of the individuals aboard reported a minor injury.

The crew arrived on scene, safely escorted the vessel and the four mariners to Captain Hooks Marina where the injured individual was transferred to EMS. Coast Guard personnel continued dewatering efforts until commercial salvage arrived on scene.

Coast Guard crews remain ready 24/7 to respond to mariners in distress, working alongside partner agencies to protect lives and ensure the safety of those on the water.
