Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much your environment and mindset shape your career trajectory — and a recent trip home reminded me of that more than ever. 🌍

Visiting family is always grounding, but this time it was also incredibly energizing. I had the privilege of sitting down with some truly visionary business owners and entrepreneurs — people who are building something meaningful, against all odds, with a clarity of purpose that was honestly humbling.

It reinforced something I deeply believe: opportunity is always there. The question is whether you’re focused on the right things — and the right people.

As an immigrant, it’s easy to fixate on the barriers — the accent, the cultural gaps, the moments where you feel like an outsider in the room. But I’ve made a conscious choice to flip that lens. Being an immigrant is one of my greatest professional assets.

It has given me:
✅ Adaptability — I’ve navigated entirely new systems from scratch
✅ Resilience — setbacks look different when you’ve already bet on yourself in a big way
✅ Perspective — I see problems and opportunities that others sometimes miss
✅ Hunger — I didn’t come this far to play small

Supporting great leaders and operating at the executive level requires you to constantly grow, stay curious, and connect with people who challenge and inspire you. That trip home did all three.
