As we all work to navigate this new normal, a lot of us are now newly working from home. While working from home can be great, it can also be really isolating and lonely for a lot of people used to working in office environments -- especially in times like these. Here are a couple of my go-to tips for staying productive while keeping a thumb on the outside world, too:
+ Keep a level of structure in your day, whether that means setting office hours or time-blocking your tasks.
+ Work from a designated workspace in your home -- preferably, not your bed -- to remind your brain that the rest of your home is for living, not working.
+ During your lunch break, call a friend or family member to decompress from your day so far.
+ Take intentional steps to add movement in your day, whether that’s a morning yoga flow or a lunchtime dog walk.
+ When the end of your workday comes, challenge yourself to close your laptop and leave it in your workspace. Boundaries make a huge difference.
