Good VoIP isn’t just about having “fast internet.” Speed tests tell you bandwidth, but they don’t measure what really impacts call quality.
Here’s what to check instead:
🔹 Packet loss – When data packets never arrive. Even 1 to 2 percent loss can create choppy or robotic audio.
🔹 Jitter – When packets arrive at uneven intervals. This can cause delays, echoes, or words cutting out.
🔹 Latency – The delay between sending and receiving. Above 150ms, conversations feel awkward.
✅ Run a packet loss and jitter test alongside your speed test. A stable connection matters more than raw speed.
