One of our sweetheart Golden Conures just received her deposit. We only have one more of these munchkins left. 💛

This handsome Caique dude was raised with his Golden Conure siblings and said he IS now in fact a Golden Conure. He’s not taking questions about his identity at this time. He is fully committed and he said there is no turning back. 😆

The last couple nights our girl Sky (affectionately nicknamed Roachie… don’t ask 🤣) has been screaming and pacing. I kept checking on her through the night because it was so out of character. I wondered if there was a raccoon or something outside, but the dogs weren’t alerted. I’ve been totally baffled about what was going on with her.

This morning I found out why. 💔

Our girl really wants to be a mama. She laid an egg on the bottom of her cage since she isn’t given a nest box.

Roachie is a fairly rare (in the U.S.) Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo, and we have been searching for a mature male for her with no luck. I’ve been pointed toward babies, but they take so long to mature — and our girl is already 27 years old. We don’t want to wait until she’s in her late 30s to pair her.

So I’m putting this out there to the bird world:
