The doors open tomorrow, and the energy inside is already speaking for itself.
Art & the Beautiful Game: Africa on the World Stage is AfriKin’s love letter to the global game and the African genius that has powered it for generations. As Miami prepares to host FIFA World Cup 2026, Maison AfriKin is the cultural stopover. This is your moment to witness.
What’s waiting for you inside:
⚽ The AfriKin Jerseys Project featuring 22 national team kits from across global Africa, paired with African print textile in a visual dialogue between football culture and ancestral cloth.
🏆 The Greatest 100 Black Footballers Wall of Fame, over 100 portraits of the players who shaped the beautiful game, anchored by our World Cup trophy at the center. Yes it is already on display. Come see it.
🎨 Original artworks and world-class football photography that tell the story of Africa’s presence on the world stage with power, beauty, and precision.
We are also honored to host panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt through the week, in observance of Pride Month and in solidarity with all those touched by HIV/AIDS. The AIDS Memorial Quilt is the largest communal art project in the world, honoring the lives of Americans who have died of AIDS since 1981. Its presence here is a reminder that culture holds grief, honors memory, and keeps love visible.
A special thank you to for their generous jersey donations, to the Consuls General representing their nations with dignity and commitment inside these walls, to every artist and photographer whose work gives this exhibition its heartbeat, and to the entire AfriKin team love ❤️ and always LOVE!
We were also proud to welcome former Councilman Scott Galvin and current Councilman Kevin Burns to preview the exhibition. Their presence reflects what is possible when civic leadership and cultural vision meet in the same room. North Miami is on the world stage. Right here. Right now.
Now the real question: Who are you backing to lift the trophy? Drop your pick in the comments.
