A girls kitchen will try and take you around the world with different types of food. Some will be my very own recipes that I have put together, some will be the best recipes I have ever had and some will be recipes I will try to duplicate after trying them in a restaurant.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! At least, that’s what we were always told. Now, I know this is a controversial subject, but hear me out.

Do I still eat breakfast? Yes! But only because I love it. Do I eat first thing in the morning? Nope. Never have. I’m just not hungry when I wake up.

I hear all the time that women should eat early because of hormones, metabolism, insert-all-the-reasons-here. Then there’s intermittent fasting—which I kind of do, except I drink coffee with cream, so technically, that breaks a fast. But my body naturally isn’t hungry until 10 AM… sometimes even noon. It depends on the day.

I’ve also heard women shouldn’t intermittent fast because of hormone imbalances, stress on the body, all of that. But honestly? I feel great. And I know plenty of women who do too.

So what are you supposed to do? Find what works for you. That’s it. No magic answer. Just paying attention to what actually makes you feel good, not what some random rule says you should do.
