Color changes everything.

A single cushion softens a silhouette.
A palette transforms an atmosphere.

Layer textures.
Mix colors.
Play freely.

Summer was never meant to be monochrome.

Contemporary lighting, staged inside Copenhagen's oldest building.

Vibia's CENTER exhibition, curated by Note Design Studio, brought the brand's lighting into the walls of Helligaandshuset Church during 3 Days of Design. The result read as a dialogue rather than a display, with contemporary fixtures set against centuries of stone and quiet.

Designers and architects moved through the space and saw what light does when it's given the room to be still.

Conceptual work worth studying for the material discipline.

Mediterrano by Matitectura tests a Mediterranean brief with a tightly restrained material palette: travertine and lime plaster for the shell, cypress and dry brush for the landscape line, sand-toned leather for the interior, a single note of sea blue as the accent. The horizon carries what the palette leaves out.

A reference for specifiers studying how tonal restraint can hold a large residential program.

Conceptual work by Matitectura and Bolla x Bolla, generated with Midjourney and Nano Banana.

What a designer notices about a Hamptons house that doesn't apologize for color.

Andy Cohen's beach retreat, designed by architect Gordon Kahn with interiors by Jackie Greenberg, runs hard on personality where most Hamptons houses run quiet. Bold palette. Playful patterns. The architecture relaxes into shingle-style ease and lets the interior carry the energy.

A collaboration where the architect builds the room and the interior designer fills it without either getting in the other's way.

A Hamptons house that knows what it is.
