'This Is Not An Exit' exudes a raw and vulnerable essence, interlaced with daring experimentation. Embracing a lo-fi approach, Gabe M aimed to cultivate an intimate atmosphere, capturing the essence of profound honesty and stark emotions experienced during that pivotal moment. Following the release of 'This Is Not An Exit', Holy Colors continued the pursuit to captivate audiences with two seasonal EPs. 'Halloween Colors' embraced the spirit of the fall season and Halloween, while 'Christmas Colors' added a touch of enchantment to the winter holidays. Each release showcased Holy Colors' penchant for evoking vivid imagery and immersive sonic landscapes. By early 2020, Holy Colors set out on an ambitious endeavor to create a full-length album. Fueled by an unwavering determination, Gabe M's creative aspirations reached new heights, as songs penned between late 2018 through 2020 took shape and were meticulously honed. With the desire to elevate his music to the next level, Holy Colors joined forces with Brooks Paschal, known for his work with Surprises and Sullivan, as the producer, mixer, and mastering engineer for the debut concept album, 'Far Away Places,' released on October 9, 2020. The release of the album's first single, '90's Horror,' provided a glimpse into the new musical direction and artistic vision Holy Colors embraced. Accompanied by two additional singles, 'New Place' and the titular track 'Far Away Places,' each song embraced and expanded upon the conceptual framework presented in the debut album. As Holy Colors evolves and matures, Gabe M is currently immersed in the creative process, crafting new music that promises to captivate listeners once again. With a slated release for later in 2024, Holy Colors continues to forge a path of musical exploration, delving deep into the boundless realms of emotion and expression.
