K I N G is the first-born child of Lawanda M. King and Keith L. Being the oldest brother to 4 sisters and 2 brothers, K I N G was a boss. Throughout life, music was his first love from day one. Living in a place like Miami, the music scene was a huge influence on him, the sounds, the grooves, it inspired him to rap. He started off rapping when he was in elementary school. Soon after he received a
chance to rap on the school’s morning show, he was in the 4th grade while attending Westview Elementary School. “I went by a name giving to me at birth by my dad (Big Black), “Lil Black” and he used to call my brother Mild. Like Black & Mild.” From there I took off with studying different artist and expanding my sounds. I have been in a few groups including: Murder Three Thrillers, Da Bottom Boyz, Go Get Em Boyz. I branched off and started doing clean music after a conversation with Steve “Lucky Ace” Cashmere of Lucky Stones Music Group in 2011. I kept working on my music even when I was overseas in Germany. “A lot of music was written, and I had a fun time recording in a different country.” I have always been a trapper even as a kid, but I grew up in the church. So of course, the first music I put out was trapping music, heavily influenced by Gucci Mane and Zaytoven, Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke, Uncle Al, Rick Ross, Pimp C, Bun B, 8 Ball and MJG, and all the local artists in Dade County. Back on May 31, 2018 I was in Atlanta when my car was shot into from the back. “When I heard the shot, I immediately ducked, and the bullet was blocked by an angel inches away from the back of my head. I remember praying on 285 asking God to keep us protected as we drove around the city and to keep us shielded from any hurt, harm or danger. From that day I made up my mind that God has spared me too many times not to give the praise and glory that he deserves, with the talent that he gave me. I elevated to another level when I got a deeper relationship with God and that’s when I was promoted from Lil Black to B L A C K K I N G. It was time to spread the word that God is the truth and how he is so good to us even when we don’t deserve it. I was always encouraged by my mentor Emmanuel Dutes, that if I did music giving God the praise and honor, that God will take me to newer heights, and look how God has been blessing me. ANOINTED TRAPPER the EP with feature the hit single Jesus Take Tha Wheel and Thank You just to name a few. This project will be filled with a sound familiar to the trap and deliver God’s message at the same time
