Last night, I had the honor of presenting the Brickell Magazine Editorial Award at the Miami Fashion Institute ’s Annual Student Showcase.

As Creative Director of Brickell and Key Biscayne Magazines, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is discovering and supporting local talent. Since 2003, our publications have been dedicated to highlighting the people shaping our community, and it’s always inspiring to witness the next generation of creatives stepping into their future.

This year, the level of talent, craftsmanship, and storytelling was exceptional. Selecting a recipient was no easy task.

Congratulations to , recipient of the 2026 Brickell Magazine Editorial Award for her collection, Balconera! A beautiful reminder that inspiration often lives within the everyday moments we sometimes overlook.

I’m also excited to share that 11 finalist looks will be featured in an upcoming Brickell Magazine editorial and cover photoshoot, offering these emerging designers a glimpse into the world of editorial fashion and what may lie ahead in their careers.
