Big following. No respect. There’s a difference between having attention and having an audience.
If they didn’t come for your music, they’re not obligated to care about your music.
Decide what you want to be taken serious for, then post like it.
If you wanna be seen as an artist, you gotta lead with the art.
Everything else should support the music, not replace it.
YouTube used to count a view after 30 seconds of watch time.
Now? They count anything. Someone skips your ad in 2 seconds?
That’s a view.
So you’ll see 5,000 “views” but only 900 are real.
The rest is inflated BS. Someone is going to say “WeLL jUst RuN aN iNfEeD cAmPaIgN” - That will tell me everything I need to know about them.
Meta still fire. TikTok too. But YouTube is the BIG STAGE. If your YouTube dead, they know you’re not really like that.
You NEED it to solidify your career. But they made it way harder. And no other marketer is saying this because they not really running these campaigns.
Don’t get finessed. Know what you’re paying for.

Both can work. Neither one saves you from a bad strategy.
If you’re running ads before you’ve found a piece of content that hits organically — you’re just paying to test.
Find what works first. Then put money behind it.
At the end of the day — Meta is where the money gets made.
