Today, radio lost a legend… but we lost a brother.

Mitch Faulkner was one of the absolute greats.
Dubbed The Godfather of Urban Radio Imaging, the motorcycle-ridin’, classic Chevy truck restorin’ Mitch Faulkner was truly LEGENDARY. His iconic voice was heard in the U.S., England, Africa, Canada, Brazil, the Bahamas, Jamaica and Denmark. He began his stellar radio career as a volunteer DJ in his hometown – Hopkinsville, KY at WHOP-AM Country. As years ticked by, he became known as “The Voice” in Atlanta on radio and TV.

Mitch has also spent time in Texas hangin’ with The Tom Joyner Morning Show as the Creative Service Director. He was in such high demand that he worked at radio stations in several major markets and even became the signature voice for the Janet Jackson Control Tour.

He was also the proud owner of OMP, the first black O&O radio production facility in the world! Rest In Peace, brother Mitch. ❤️

Remembering our fallen heroes who have paid the ultimate price… and who have made the ultimate sacrifice… for our safety… For our way of life... For the freedoms that we have the luxury of taking for granted. More than a day off— it’s a day of true remembrance, profound respect, and great honor.

You're going to see many of these posts today. Find one that touches you the way this one touched us and pause.

Stop.

Remember.

Give this some true and serious thought.

Pray for the lives lost and the families forever broken. Then think of your own life and your own family and how blessed you are to still be here, living this beautiful life--- today--- on this earth--- in THIS moment.

Now read on......

Pictured here is Officer Eddie Reyes. A man stronger than most brought to his knees in pain, sorrow, and remembrance of his 15 NYPD Emergency Service Unit colleagues killed when they fiercely rushed onto the scene as first responders 20 years ago today.

GOD bless those nearly 3,000 souls.
You will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

At we stand in firm, unwavering solidarity with all those who have been oppressed, who have been bullied, who have been hurt, who have been profiled, who have been beaten, and most unfortunately... who have been violently, and senselessly killed. The Black lives matter movement is one of paramount importance and we support our brothers of color inside our company; Producers, Voiceover artists, PDs or DJs at the station level... all our family, all our brothers. We are not here to claim ourselves as being non-racist. No, much more than this, we are here to make publicly known since day one, today, and forever more, WE ARE ANTI-RACIST. We discriminate against discriminators and will never stand for hate filled speech, racial “jokes”, or any other casual injustice prevalent in the world we live in today— much less the larger and more dominant force that took George Floyd from us live on camera for the world to see— police brutality, and straight up MURDER. We no longer merely invite change, we DEMAND it. I ask all who are reading this post to search yourself. No longer remain silent. Use your voice and your position to affect real, and lasting change, and do your duty as a member of this human race to unite us all, ONCE AND FOR ALL. With love and with hope, Jason. ❤️
