Janel has been published in various art and tattoo magazines early in her photography career. Today she’s focusing on more traditional art forms after realizing the rise of AI-generated images flooding the internet.

New project: Notebook inserts for my vinyl pocket journal covers. This is the front and back of a journal dust jacket I am currently working on.

After walking through a season that felt heavy, confusing, and spiritually draining, I started searching for answers in places I never thought I would look. That search eventually led me back to God. Not in a loud or dramatic way...but in a quiet, personal, life-altering way.

My art has always reflected what I was going through internally. And as my faith grew, so did the imagery, the symbolism, and the messages behind each design. What was once simply gothic or vintage-inspired began to carry deeper meaning: light and darkness, protection, deliverance, angels, saints, scripture, and the quiet strength that comes from believing you are not alone.

These journals are not about perfection.

They are about the inner battles people rarely talk about.
They are for the person who is healing.
For the person searching for peace.
For the person who has felt lost, overwhelmed, or spiritually exhausted.
For the person who is finding their way back to the light.

I'm excited to create more poster-style designs for my future pocket notebooks.
