Studies have shown that children lose significant knowledge in reading and math over summer break. This results in a snowball effect as they experience subsequent skill loss each year.

Research indicates 2 months of reading skills and 2 1/2 months of math skills are lost over a single summer. Those lost months add up, by the time a child reaches middle school, they’ve lost the equivalent of 2 years of learning to summer slide.

I can help your child avoid the summer slide and help them start the new school year academically prepared for their new grade level. By attending my Summer Learning Tutoring Program, I can help your child master any skills they are lacking from previous grade levels as well as introduce them to their new grade level’s skills.
