I’m performing this Sunday at ‘s Scratch Night, a space for testing new ideas and works in progress.

Last time I played with them, I tried out a new post-species concept: capturing audience voices in the bar, as if they were the final sound ever made at the heat death of the universe, and mixing it with my noise synth.

It made me start asking questions about what we become after the end of the human species, or even after AI and after everything we recognise now.

And then the more grounded question: what can we do now, with the tools we’re building? Instead of using AI to replace human creativity, how do we use it to support and nurture it?

That thinking has led me into building my own AI instrument, something designed for improvisation, connection and collaboration, not replacement.

I’m going to try this out for the first time on sunday.
