If your kid has iron deficiency anemia or if your baby is only drinking breastmilk, the pediatrician might send them some iron supplementation in the form of drops or pills.

👉🏼Iron should be taken on an empty stomach or with foods containing Vitamin C 🍊 to improve absorption.

👉🏼On the other side, Calcium (milk, yogurt, cheese) 🧀 🥛 tends to COMPETE with iron and when fighting with iron, calcium usually wins...and iron might not be best absorbed.

👧🏻So if your kid is drinking milk, try to offer milk at least 1-2hours after their iron supplementation.

Here are some things you should know:

⭐️Carbs are your body's main source of energy

⭐️All babies, toddlers, and children need them in their diet...no reason to avoid them 😬 (yes, even if they have Type 1 Diabetes)

⭐️Carbs are not "bad." Just as anything else, too much or too little of it can cause health problems. It's all about balance!😉
