Save Live Events. “The Empty Event” is a two day activation on the National Mall organized by the . Each empty table represents 250,000 unemployed events industry workers affected by COVID-19 (12 million total nationwide).

The live events industry was the first to shut down due to the pandemic and will likely be one of the last to reopen.

While many industries have received financial support from federal relief aid packages, the live events sector has not.

There is an uncommon belief that people don't want to go back to work, due to the $600 federal unemployment benefit many have been receiving.

The Live Event Industry employs 12 MILLION professionals that want to work

There's thousands of staff members that make your experiences come to life. From stage hands to food vendors and everything in between, they all want to get back to work.

So far, the live events industry has been excluded from the federal stimulus programs. Help us raise awareness by sharing this post. Tag your local and federal senators.
