Found almost 2 pounds of wild chanterelles on the farm yesterday!! Dehydrated them and an awesome meal is forthcoming!!! Super stoked.

A lot of coverage of Hurricane Helene has been focused on the larger cities but let’s not forget the countless tiny mountain towns that were devastated as well. Us down here in south central Georgia are still waiting for power and still experiencing problems. Cell service is still spotty and many people can’t work for the near future and the bills keep coming. So everyone please be patient if you have to wait in long lines for fuel or groceries. If you see someone in need, help them out. And for god sake, put your bull s**t politics to the side because Helene didn’t discriminate between Democrat and Republican. She destroyed lives indiscriminately. So be kind to those in need, if you can help, help. And just use this motto and please “Don’t be an asshole!!!!” And thank you to the ones who can help because it’s needed more than you know because a lot of folks don’t have anyone to turn to for help!!!
